Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the Save2Obsidian website, X account connection, processing service, dashboard, API, and Obsidian plugin (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Save2Obsidian turns supported, publicly accessible X posts you request into Markdown notes. Available text, metadata, thread context, links, and images may be processed and delivered to the local vault folder you choose. Source posts can disappear or change, and not every post can be processed successfully.

Video AI is not yet publicly available. Video posts currently save available text, context, and the original link.

3. Accounts and security

You sign in using X and receive a personal API key for the Obsidian plugin. Keep that key private. It is a bearer credential that can access notes associated with your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been exposed.

4. The Service is free, and fair use

Save2Obsidian is currently provided free of charge. There is no paid plan, no subscription, no card on file, and no numeric daily or monthly save limit. We will not charge you for the Service while these Terms describe it as free.

Free use is for ordinary personal note-taking through the supported Save2Obsidian workflow. It does not permit abusive automation, bulk scraping, credential or account sharing, resale, attacks on the Service, or use that materially degrades availability for others. Technical request-size, safety, source-access, and reasonable-use limits still apply, and we may rate-limit or suspend an account that breaks them.

5. If paid plans return

We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, the pricing page will describe them before they take effect, and no charge will occur unless you affirmatively start a checkout and complete a purchase. These Terms will be updated with the applicable billing, refund, and cancellation terms at that time.

6. Your content and acceptable use

You retain rights in content you create. You grant us the limited permission needed to retrieve, process, store, secure, and deliver the content you request. Third-party X posts remain subject to their owners’ rights and X’s terms. You must not violate law, others’ rights, security controls, or Service limits.

7. Availability, deletion, and termination

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. You should back up important notes. You may request deletion of Service-stored account data by emailing support@save2obsidian.com. We cannot delete files already written to a vault you control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Save2Obsidian is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data, profit, business, or opportunity. Because the Service is provided free of charge, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of what you paid for the Service during the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the new version and update the date above, with reasonable notice for material changes where appropriate. Questions may be sent to support@save2obsidian.com.
